you’re in big truffle

Aside from being a blog writer on the weekends and week nights, during the day time, I am a teacher. Being a teacher has many highs and I won’t lie, some stressful lows that I’m sure any teacher can attest to. One very high perk about being a teacher is that I am gratefully showered with many types of chocolate during the holiday season.

Although it doesn’t really have a positive impact on my waistline, my serotonin levels shoot through the roof. And because I had so many options to choose from, I can safely say that my favorite box of chocolates was from the The Fudge Shoppe in Flemington, NJ.

Opening a box of these beautifully presented chocolates will definitely put you in a truffled spot. Of course you have to eat them. They can’t go to waste.

So in order to maximize the full experience of these delicately decorated chocolates, I decided to have one a day until the box was empty.

Day 1: Rich, velvety and layers of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and a toffee ganache center.

Day 2: Dusted beautifully with some purple shimmer and filled with creamy, dreamy chocolate.

Day 3: Looks simple enough but rich and cherry flavored on the inside!

Day 4: Typically not a white chocolate fan but it all balances out with the dark chocolate center.

Day 5: A chocolate cup filled with caramel toffee, topped with white chocolate and peppermints. A great balance of cocoa, butter, and mint flavors.

Day 6: OOPS. I was enjoying the moment and didn’t snap a picture. The last chocolate was a small piece of chocolate layered fudge. Very rich, creamy, and smooth.

All of these were crafted with care and one can definitely tell that each chocolate was given equal amounts of attention and devotion for you to fully enjoy. Each piece was the perfect size to feel satisfied. The flavors were indulgent but not too much that it left you needing a full glass of water to wash it down. These are definitely treats that are worth the calories.

Even if you can’t experience this perk of being a teacher , you can get these decadent desserts for yourself or for you and friends to share!
